Restacking a Move Project

To finalise a project and relocate the employees access the Check/Restack tab of that corresponding Move Project.

Step 1

All items in the project ready to move are listed. You can switch between assets and employees using the drop down.

Step 2: Restacking Employees

Employees list the name and the id of the employee moving, the restack allocation of the desk they are leaving, their From and To locations, their department, current status and any alignment issues. If any changes have been made to the current locations of movers and assets assigned to the project when using the floor monitor module they get reflected at the alignment column. In the example below a certain mover was placed at an initial location when the move was created. Since then, the particular mover's current location has been changed. This is reflected at the Alignment column in red indicating that the employee is actually in a different location. To update these changes in the project, click Re-synch Batches.
If there are such alignment issues (as shown below) clicking Re-sync Batches will automatically correct them.

Step 3

The restack allocation can be set to Persists, so they vacated desk retains its current allocation, or to Vacate so the department is removed from the desk that is vacated. This is set for each mover individually. On allocation of the desk they move to will automatically update to match the employees allocation.

Step 4: Restack People

Once all employees have been corrected and you have no alignment issues and the restack allocation has been set, the employees can finally be restacked (moved) to their new locations by clicking Restack Items. This button will finalise a project and permanently move every employee involved in the move to their new location and update the entire database. This task is usually performed once a move has been completed and it cannot be undone.

Step 5: Restacking Assets

Assets are restacked in a very similar manner to Employees. Assets show a graphic to show the item type, the batch they belong to, the Asset ID #, the Descript of the asset. The From and Relocating To locations, Dept. and the status of the parent batch.
You can filter the displayed assets by the status they have been assigned in the asset survey. Once you have confirmed all the assets are correct they can finally be restacked (moved) to their new locations by clicking Restack Items. This button will finalise a project and permanently move every asset that is part the move to their new location and update the entire database. This task is usually performed once a move has been completed and it cannot be undone.
