Creating Schema

What are schemas?

A Schema is a CAD Drawing that is based on a top-copy or “Master” drawing. When space needs to be reconfigured, a CAD user will start from the current “as is” layout and draw changes that might be necessary to satisfy future needs. Clearly they do not want to replace the top copy until the space has actually changed as reports will still need to be run based on the current built environment.
A Schema always starts with a copy of a “live” drawing, is refined by using Areas of Interest and is managed by Locator so that it can be viewed by Relocator and can have staff associated with yet to be created locations.
